Class Description 

Lessons in the history and use of imagery, photography and its application to the law, basic concepts of creating a photograph, light and the camera, differences in using film and digital photography and how they relate, light spectrum, file formats and storage, film grain and digital noise, exposure (ISO, shutter speed aperture, depth of field, metering, filters, etc.), and overall photography of basic crime scenes and physical evidence. Course is 5 days.

Objectives
For public crime laboratory personnel (police, sheriff's, identification technicians, crime-scene responders) who process crime scenes and physical evidence (shoe print and tire track, fingerprints, macro evidence, and blood spatter), as well as documentation of trajectories and bullet strikes

Tuition No cost to POST supported or State of California based Law Enforcement agencies. A $600.00 tuition fee will be required of all other public agency, private sector, or out-of-state applicants
